The Koala

The Koala (Phascolarctos cinerus) in habit mainly the region of southeast and northeast of Australia. Its natural habitat is the eucalyptus and feeds on eucalyptus leaves. Their average lifespan is 17 years. The animal are in a very large extinction process, which began with British colonization in Australia. This disappearance was due to the emergence of the cult of hunting and killing Koalas to use your skin. But today is not the game the greatest risk faced by Koalas, but forest fires and the lack of trees are felled by loggers that lead to his death. In losing their home and food, Koalas eventually move to the cities, where often end up being killed, run over by road or by dogs.
